This is an exciting time for GSM London. Founded in 1973 and formerly known as the Greenwich School of Management, we are one of the UK’s largest independent for-profit HE providers and one of a few private providers to have passed QAA Education Review. With three sites in London and over 6,000 students, we are committed to widening access to enabling social mobility through our focus on strengths based learning and our student outcomes, including their employability. Working closely with our validating partner, Plymouth University, who are supportive of our ambitious growth plans, we are building organisational capability to take us forward as we seek to attain degree awarding powers and university status.

GSM London is seeking a committed professional to supervise examinations and a small team of invigilators. The role will report directly to the Examination and Assessment Manager Examination sessions run in January, May and August to September yearly. The dates the 2017-18 academic year are:  8-26 January, 30 April-18 May and 28 August-14 September. There will be ad hoc examinations running outside these dates.

The key purposes of this role is to maintain the integrity of College examinations, ensuring that these are conducted in compliance with GSM London’s examinations related regulations and policy, and instructions issued by members of the Examination and Assessment Team.

To be successful you will need to have experience of examination invigilation in an education environment, and demonstrate an understanding of the examination processes. You will have the ability to work without supervision and to work effectively and supportively in a team. You will need to understand and maintain confidentiality at all times, be able to give clear and accurate instructions, and have a flexible approach to work, that may often be under the pressure of tight deadlines.  A willingness to undertake training is essential, as is the ability to commit to undertaking work during the examination sessions.
