Following a review of the University’s Professional Services, Aberdeen is looking to appoint to a new post: Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment. This newly established Directorate brings together the two teams currently responsible for the strategically important areas of Marketing and Student Recruitment. Leading a large team the new Director will be an inspirational catalyst for change and will provide strategic management, vision and leadership to the University’s student recruitment and marketing team. Working closely with Heads of School and colleagues within other Professional Services Directorates, you will deliver a step change in the impact and effectiveness of marketing and student recruitment activities and also play a key role in enabling the wider institutional marketing strategy.
Strong candidates will bring leadership credentials with experience of driving change and developing high-performing teams. A proven track record of effective strategic planning and operational leadership and management within a marketing and/or student recruitment environment is essential. You must be able to demonstrate experience of using relevant management information and market research/analysis to support key decisions that have delivered positive results. More broadly, good candidates will be able to demonstrate an affinity with the culture of the University, the values of a research-intensive institution, and the commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience.
