Job Description

This is a Research Study Technician position in Lee Quinton's laboratory in The Pulmonary Center studying lung biology. Research in Dr. Quinton's laboratory is focused on Pneumonia Biology, employing both mouse models of lung infection and cell culture systems. The majority of time will be conducted performing experiments and assisting in experiments with remaining time being dedicated to basic lab management and organization.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with technical aspects of experiments under the direction of the PI or other more senior research staff
  • Makes observations and assists with the interpretation of experiment results
  • Contributes to the design of research experiments
  • Prepares and maintains research and laboratory materials and equipment

This position is grant funded.

Required Skills

Less than 12 months of experience and Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 2 year commitment required.
