Fixed-term contract until 31 July 2019
This role is central to maintaining high quality services to students across a range of programmes. You will be responsible for the line management of Associate Lecturers and Practice tutors who support students on a range of qualifications including the Pre-Registration Nursing Programme, Post registration education and Certificate in Healthcare Practice within the OU.
You will need a good first degree (or equivalent), a professional qualification in nursing, experience in supporting practice learning, current NMC registration and an NMC recordable teaching qualification.
You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of adult learners and have the ability to promote the Faculty's modules, programmes and awards to individuals and corporate customers. You will also have good communication skills, team working and organisational skills, working with centrally based Academic staff on academic development. You will have a sound knowledge of current issues related to nurse education and experience in developing and maintaining local partnerships.
The contract for this job is based out of the Belfast Office, however attendance at meetings in Milton Keynes and wider travel across the whole of the Northern Ireland and in to the South is an essential part of the role.
