The Faulty of Arts of The Chinese University of Hong Kong seeks candidates for the appointment as Part-time Lecturer(s) for the BA Programme in Cultural Management.
  
Established in 2012, BA Programme in Cultural Management is the first and only BA programme in such discipline in Hong Kong. It is a multi-disciplinary programme with emphasis in providing the knowledge and skills in the studies of public humanities, with the intention to provide students a substantial understanding in the studies of humanities, nurture their critical skills in cultural studies, at the same time equips them with the practical and administrative skills in cultural management. 
 
In line with the Programme’s development, the Faculty invites applications around the globe for the appointment as Part-time Lecturer(s). Expressions of interest from scholars in all fields of cultural management are welcome, but applicants with interests & industrial connections in the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: Cultural Heritage & Preservation; Visual Arts Administration; City Development; Public & Community Art; Creative Industry; Musical Performance Administration; Theatre Studies; Xiqu; Historical Architecture; Performing Arts Management; Organization of Arts Festival, Curatorship, etc. 
 
Applicants should have (i) a doctoral degree in cultural management or a relevant discipline; (ii) good academic records; (iii) firm commitment to excellence in teaching; and (iv) demonstrated knowledge and engagement with the field of cultural management as discipline and profession.
 
The successful candidate would serve the BA Programme in Cultural Management for (a) teaching; (b) curriculum development; and (c) planning and realizing the Programme’s initiatives.
 
Appointment(s) will initially be made on contract basis for up to 1 year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
