The Department of Computing & Information Systems is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media. You will join a vibrant Department, which provides a range of programmes and courses in the fields of computer science, software engineering, network technologies, security and forensics, business computing, digital media, and games design and development. The Department has a strong commitment to widening participation, diversity and internationalism and this is reflected in our staff and student profiles.
The post is suitable for an academic with an existing research and teaching background in Digital Media, and we are particularly interested to hear from candidates who can also enhance our existing research strengths in Software and Network Engineering, Cybersecurity and Forensics, Disruptive Technologies, Games and Digital Media, and Technology-Enhanced Learning. We are also especially interested in hearing from candidates who can bring hands-on practical experience of working in industrial or research environments on applied projects, and who can contribute to the Department’s student employability strategy and develop research and enterprise activity for the School within their specialist field.

The position offers opportunities for research and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will help to create a critical mass of active research supporting the Department’s approach to the teaching and research in Digital Media.
