Building on RMIT's leading reputation in design education, a new School of Design will be launched in January 2018. The School of Design comprises the disciplines of Industrial Design, Digital Design (including animation, games and interactive design) and Communication Design. It focuses on emerging areas such as UX and service design, design strategy and virtual and augmented reality.
The Manager, Planning and Resources is accountable for providing high level strategic planning, business advice and support to the Dean and School Executive and will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to support the School's activities and objectives.
As a member of the School Executive team, you will be required to work collaboratively with all members of the management team and with staff to ensure that the School achieves its strategic objectives.
The position has a close working relationship with the College Director of Planning and Resources to ensure alignment with College strategic objectives.
Skills & Experience Required
You will have extensive experience and demonstrable leadership skills, including the capacity to initiate, lead and manage change in a challenging and dynamic environment. Furthermore you will have proven budget and financial management, planning and business development skills that have been developed within a complex university environment. A highly analytical mind and ability to problem solve will be essential to your success in the role.
