Neuroimaging Staff Scientist

Reporting to the Director and the Associate Director of the Cognitive Neuroimaging Center, the Neuroimaging Staff Scientist provides instruction and support to Center users related to MRI experimental design, IRB approval and consenting, operation of the MRI scanner and peripheral equipment, and data archiving, pre-processing, and data analysis. A primary role is to consult, provide support, and train investigators new to MRI research. The Neuroimaging Staff Scientist, along with the MRI Technologist, have primary responsibilities for providing daily assistance with scanning and identifying and addressing issues related to safety. The Neuroimaging Staff Scientist monitors data collection to ensure quality of imaging data, and collaborates with the MR Physicist and Associate Director to identify and address issues related to imaging data quality. In addition, the Neuroimaging Staff Scientist works with the MRI Technologist to setup and maintain the scanner time-schedule and monitor scanner use. The Neuroimaging Staff Scientist works with the Associate Director to educate the neuroimaging community, both by providing individual PIs and users with advice as well as providing group training sessions and workshops.
5-8 Years of experience and a Master's Degree Required. Doctorate preferred
