Salary: £28,098 – £31,604 per annum (£11,239 - £12,642 pro rata’d)
Hours: Part Time - 14.8 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term (Up to 12 months maternity cover)

A vacancy has arisen for a Dyslexia Support Tutor, to be part of our Student Support Team. The role is responsible for providing study skills tuition, SpLD screenings, and non-subject specific support, primarily delivered 1:1 but also, where necessary, on a small group basis. They will also deliver academic study skills to meet students’ individual learning needs and to develop student’s skills for autonomy within an inclusive learning environment. Qualified specialist Study Skills tutors are required to provide 1:1 study skills support to students with a specific learning difference (SpLD) studying in Higher Education.
The successful candidate will be Degree educated, have a relevant Post-graduate qualification (or equivalent) for working with learners with a specific learning difference. They must also have professional membership (full or associate level), of at least one of the following professional bodies: Patoss, BDS, ADSHe or The Dyslexia guild. Evidence of relevant work with a range of students with specific learning differences in an educational setting is desirable.
