Job description Global Advancement
Head of Philanthropy - Permanent Full time opportunity
An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced and dynamic fundraiser to join the University of Exeter's Global Advancement team in a senior capacity. This role will allow you to build on the professional experience you have developed to date, and gain significant experience of leading a talented Philanthropy Team through the public phase of an ambitious fundraising Campaign, at a Russell Group University. The Campaign aims to deliver GBP 60m by 2020 and the University recently surpassed the 50% mark.
Working closely with the Director of Global Advancement, other senior members of the Global Advancement team and the wider University, you will relish the opportunity to lead the Philanthropy Team by example, ensuring that their performance is driven by an intimate knowledge of best practice. You will be a strategic thinker and an inspiring leader, motivated and driven to maximise the fundraising opportunities that present themselves in the public phase of the Campaign and experienced at developing successful fundraising strategies that really deliver, in a fast pace target-driven environment.
The University offers some fantastic benefits including 41 days leave per year, options for flexible working, an onsite gym, a cycle to work scheme and a stunning campus environment in the heart of Exeter. If you are not currently in Exeter please have a look at our website for some further information on what a beautiful part of the country we are based in.
For further information, please contact Shaun Curtis (Director of Global Advancement), email S.Curtis@exeter.ac.uk.
Interviews will be held on Friday 8th December 2017.
