Required to join the Systems Team at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, whose mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and across the world.  As a leader in public health research and post-graduate education, the School has staff working in over 180 different countries. 

Working in the Business Systems and Integration Team (within the larger Systems Team), the Systems Officer (Integration & Directory) is one of a team of staff who support, manage and develop the School’s networked systems across OES, Linux, and Windows servers. 
 
Within this environment the Business Systems and Integration Team (BSI) concentrate on support, management and development of the main School business systems (financial, human resources and registry), along with the existing and potential integration of these and other facilities with our main identity vault and authentication regimes.
 
This role has a particular focus on the implementation and ongoing development of access and identity management solutions and their integration with existing and future business and academic systems. The role holder also contributes fully to the team’s support of existing solutions and participates in any new projects. 
 
This is an exciting opportunity for someone keen to work in a small team at the heart of the development and support of higher education enterprise systems.
 
Applicants should hold relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience. In addition, you should have in-depth knowledge of Microfocus e-Directory / Microsoft Active Directory services design, implementation and trouble-shooting. You must have practical experience of deploying drivers using Microfocus Identity Manager (e.g JDBC,REST,SOAP,eDir and AD). You will also have experience of scripting and XML development, and experience of administering databases in particular MS SQL. A high degree of personal motivation, including the ability to work independently and organise priorities is also essential.
 
The post is full-time and permanent, and available with immediate effect. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 6 scale in the range £38,533 to £43,759 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
