It possesses good links, often through cross-appointed staff, with other schools in the University, thus creating opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborative research.
The successful applicant will work with the Lives Lived Well Professor of Alcohol, Drugs and Mental Health, Professor Leanne Hides, to conduct a series of research projects on youth substance use, funded by the Department of Health, as part of the Lives Lived Well (LLW) Team in the Centre for Youth Substance Abuse Research (CYSAR).
Applicants should have a PhD in psychology or a related field, as well as relevant clinical and supervisory qualifications. S/he will have the ability to manage research projects, design and undertake research, and publish outcomes in high quality outlets with demonstrated awareness of current international research trends.
This position is full-time, fixed term until 30 June 2019 at Research Academic level A or B.
The remuneration package for Level A will be in the range $64,533 – $87,535 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 – $102,416 p.a. full-time equivalent).
The remuneration package for Level B will be in the range $92,142 – $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $107,807 – $128,020 p.a. full-time equivalent).
