The Head of the School of Architecture, Built and Natural Environments will provide strategic leadership for the School, to enhance its standing within the industrial community, and further develop the School's reputation as a provider of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 

You will have an in-depth understanding of the student learning experience and will be expected to contribute to learning, teaching and other scholarly activity. You will be responsible for the management of all programmes within the School’s portfolio, and will have line-management responsibility for all the School’s academic staff.

You will be responsible for the leadership and management of curriculum development, including the establishment of CITB/CWIC apprenticeships in the areas of Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and Civil Engineering. You will also provide strong links with the construction industry, with a view to optimising the opportunities for co-location and development on the new SA1 campus.

A key priority will be to gain professional accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Building, Institution of Civil Engineers, etc. for appropriate programmes within the School’s portfolio.
