The Opportunity

The Faculty of Information Technology aims to lead global IT research and education. Our research is multi‑disciplinary, multi‑campus and multi‑national, giving us a unique capacity to reach out further and deeper than any other institution in Australia.

A blockchain research joint lab has just been established between Monash University Faculty of Information Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Australia-based FinTech company. As a result of this establishment, we have several openings for research fellows to work on a project about post-quantum cryptographic algorithms in blockchain.

Selected candidates will have a unique opportunity to work closely with an international team of key researchers located in Hong Kong and Shanghai. More information can be found at

Ideally you will have or be working towards a PhD degree and a very strong background in at least one of the following areas:

  • post-quantum cryptography
  • zero-knowledge protocol
  • blockchain
  • cryptocurrency
  • smart contract

If you believe you can fulfil these requirements, you are strongly encouraged to apply.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
