This position will form part of that research team, with the appointee asked to focus on nutrient – soil interactions that underlie effective fertilizer application strategies. Specific questions will include the most effective form of phosphorus (P) fertilizer to maximize P bioavailability in the short and longer term in soils with differing clay contents, pH, P sorption capacity and Ca status; and the interactions between fertilizer products when N, P and K are co-located in bands in clay soils and at high in-band concentrations.

The Person

Applicants should possess a PhD in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or Science, with expertise in crop nutrition or soil chemistry. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career, excellent analytic and troubleshooting skills, very good oral communication and writing abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a research team that includes industry researchers.
