Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security
About the role
The School of Information Technology & Mathematical Sciences is the largest information and communications technology provider in South Australia, and is regarded as one of the leading applied mathematics departments in Australia. The School is home to four research centres housing state-of-the-art facilities with world renowned links and associations that provide a dynamic teaching and research base for our students.
In this key role within the School you will be responsible for contributing to the teaching, and research activities into the Master’s program in Cybersecurity.
Designed with direct industry and government consultation, this program blends technical competencies with professional skills. In addition to conducting high quality research in cybersecurity you will also develop and foster national and international links/relationships with Industry stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate, will have a doctoral qualification in cybersecurity or a related discipline, preferably with a focus on aspects including cybersecurity frameworks, policy and business impact. They will have a distinguished track record of publications in the area of cybersecurity and success in competitive grant schemes, combined with experience working collaboratively with business and government organisations. Evidence of developing collaborative research projects is critical, and a strong record of innovative and high quality teaching activities.
