Senior Reporter , Environmental Vertical

The Senior Reporter for WBURs environmental vertical will report and produce stories on all aspects of climate and the environment. This includes but is not limited to, stories about energy, natural resources, business and economic impacts, research, education, public health, and impacts of environmental issues on communities, people and organizations around greater Boston and New England. This reporter will collaborate closely with the Environmental Vertical Senior Producing Editor to build and maintain the environmental vertical, which will include: radio segments; online blog posts that may incorporate audio, video, text, photographs and data visualizations; prospective podcasts; interaction on social media channels; live events, and other potential platforms for coverage of education. The environmental vertical Senior Reporter may occasionally be asked to provide fill-in hosting duties for WBUR programs such as Radio Boston or future podcasts. The Senior Reporter will have strong reporting and writing skills and will be capable of practicing the craft of public radio journalism at the highest level.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, with at least five to eight years of related work experience.
