The Faculty of Law invites applications for the post of Professional Consultant(s). Further information about the Faculty is available at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/law.
Applicants should have (i) a good law degree from a recognized university and a relevant professional qualification for legal practice; (ii) normally a minimum of two years post-qualification experience as a solicitor or barrister in Hong Kong, or equivalent in a jurisdiction other than Hong Kong; and (iii) experience in undergraduate/postgraduate law teaching or demonstrated aptitude for teaching. Preference will be given to applicants offering teaching expertise in Chinese Law (PRC); Company Law; Contract; Tort; Land Law; Equity and Trusts; Family Law; and Writing and Drafting Litigation Documents (in Chinese).
The appointee(s) will (a) teach the Faculty’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the CUHK Shatin campus and the CUHK Graduate Law Centre in Central; (b) contribute to academic curriculum development such as developing course materials including lecture and tutorial materials and assessment papers and programme administration; (c) serve as student academic advisor; and (d) undertake administrative duties and service to the Faculty, College and/or University as assigned.
The Faculty has a record of high-quality teaching. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their capacity as teachers as part of the recruitment process.

Appointment(s) will initially be made on contract for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Commencement date will be by agreement.
