Applications are invited for appointment as Project Officer (Research) (in the grade of Post-doctoral Fellow) in the Department of Psychiatry, to commence as soon as possible for three years.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.D., D.Sc., Dr.P.H. or equivalent) in Medicine/Psychiatry/Public Health/Social Work/Psychology or a related discipline.  Experience in longitudinal clinical research, clinical trials, mental health care, and/or public awareness programmes are assets.  The appointee has the opportunity to participate a large-scale 3-year project focusing on early mental health screening and intervention for women.  The project is led by a multi-disciplinary team of experts based at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with three NGOs and the Hospital Authority.  The appointee is expected to design, develop and plan the research and evaluation projects; develop data collection instruments and protocols; monitor progress; provide technical support; organize and manage data, databases and files; control quality of data collection; liaise with research collaborators; and manage information as related to project activities (e.g. maintain files, archives, documents etc.).  The appointee is also expected to prepare abstracts, reports and presentations for conferences, academic journals and funding agency. He/She will supervise, train and assist junior research staff; and perform other related duties as assigned.  Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 201701196) need not re-apply.
