The University of Edinburgh

Director of Student Systems and Administration

Competitive salary

Established in 1583, the University of Edinburgh is consistently ranked in the world’s top 50 universities. We have recently been ranked 4th in the UK for the breadth and depth of our research. With an annual turnover of more than £900 million, 13,000 staff and 35,000 students we are the largest university in Scotland and firmly established as a truly global institution.

The University is currently embarked on a significant business transformation programme – Service Excellence – and the current Director of Student Systems and Administration has been seconded full time to lead on that programme. We are now looking for an experienced student administration or student systems leader to support the delivery of world class student lifecycle functions, processes and systems.

As a part of Student Experience Services and the University Secretary’s Group, the Director will lead three teams (75 FTE) with a combined budget of £4 million p.a. to ensure the support and development of student and academic administrative systems and processes in the context of the university strategy, supporting change management and ensuring the implementation of the University’s vision to deliver a world-class student experience.

If you are an innovative and experienced HE professional with expertise in student administration and/or systems development and a clear understanding of the use of digital technologies to enhance the student and staff experience, this is an extremely exciting opportunity. If you are someone who thrives on being a motivational team player and is comfortable in facilitating solutions in a complex organisation with multifaceted and demanding stakeholders, please get in touch with our recruitment advisor at Veredus, Hilda Gjika on 020 7932 4258.

This post is available on a two year fixed term basis.
