About the position

Clem Jones Research Centre for Regenerative Medicine

Bond University seeks talented biomedical scientists to join an active team of researchers in the Clem Jones Research Centre for Regenerative Medicine. The Centre is funded by the Clem Jones Foundation to develop stem cell therapy for age-related macular degeneration as a core activity. The Centre also supports excellence in stem cell science and clinical translation for a broader range of projects, including the regenerative and hematopoietic capacity of spleen and applications in aging and wound healing. The Centre is generously supported by philanthropic funding and wishes to expand its activities in areas aligned with the goals of the Centre.

About the person:

Expressions of interest are sought from candidates meeting the following criteria:

  • Evidence of research capacity, including a PhD and publications in an area complementary to Centre research.
  • A demonstrated track record of achievement, and/or evidence of capacity to contribute to research on: retinal cell production from stem cells, retinal tissue engineering, improving hematopoiesis in aging and disease, or regeneration of tissue from stem cells for therapeutic benefit.

Applications are welcomed from researchers at all levels, including established scientists and/or those holding fellowships and grants from national and international funding agencies.

Salary details:

Appointments will be made at a level appropriate to qualifications, experience and in accordance with classification standards for each level of appointment.
