The School of Health and Social care is a growing and dynamic School within the highly regarded St Patrick’s College. We offer a stimulating working environment with a friendly team and pleasant working surroundings in the heart of the City. The College is going through a time of expansion within the teaching of Health and Social care at HND and post graduate level. The College is seeking an enthusiastic and flexible lecturer with good interpersonal skills and academic qualifications, to teach, assess and tutor students on health and social care courses. Currently these Edexcel courses are at Levels 4-5 and also level 7 but they must have the enthusiasm and ability to teach at level 6 and beyond.

The responsibilities of the tutor include all aspects of planning, delivering and assessing student work on HND courses, ensuring that departmental objectives and learning outcomes are met, and content is relevant and reflects current practice. They will update and improve course documentation and guidance materials as appropriate by using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials (e.g. web-based and blended learning) in order to enhance the student experience and support student progression. By attending Faculty, Department and Programme meetings/boards, as and when required, they would contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within and across teams.
