The Role

Sustainability at Macquarie University is driven by a dedicated team of professionals who provide active support and engage with staff, students and partners to incorporate the principles of sustainability into the fabric of the University. We strive to build a culture that brings our values of respect, authenticity and sustainability to life.

Reporting to the Director of Sustainability, we are seeking a suitably qualified Sustainability Education Advisor who will coordinate and facilitate the on-going implementation of the Learning, Teaching and Research strategic portfolio. 

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this position, please apply online with a CV and attach a separate 1-2 page cover letter, referencing the selection criteria below: 

  • A degree in sustainability or relevant discipline and experience working within sustainability
  • Previous experience working in the education sector
  • Working knowledge of education for sustainability, and the ability to apply these principles in the workplace more broadly, and into curriculum more specifically.
  • Experience managing projects, including researching and preparing reports to inform business decisions
  • Knowledge of curriculum and/or educational design, ideally with experience developing course and curriculum materials
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Salary Package: from $90,330 - $97,937 (HEW Level 7), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
