Program Manager in Dean Academic
About the job
In this new and key strategic role in the Office of the Dean: Academic, you will oversee project initiatives and activities that aim to meet the teaching and learning objectives of the Division, and lead to enhanced graduate employment outcomes through the pursuit of student placements and industry based learning opportunities.
You will research and critically analyse trends and practices, provide high level advice and recommendations, develop strategic and comprehensive business plans in consultation with key stakeholders across the Division, lead and manage the implementation of those projects, and report upon their milestones and progress. You will ensure that the Division’s programs are aligned with industry requirements and student demands, and you will also build trusted relationships with program stakeholders in each of the Division’s Schools.
Skills and Experience
You will have a postgraduate qualification coupled with prior experience leading and managing a team, including the development of a positive team culture. You will also have prior experience in the development of written briefings, project plans, complex reports and presentations, and extensive experience in project management and leadership at a high level within an organisation.
You will have an extensive understanding of the university’s teaching and learning framework, and demonstrate an aptitude for persuading, influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders. Your strong research and analytical ability, highly developed interpersonal skills, and capacity for balancing competing demands will ensure your success in this role.
