Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield are looking to appoint a highly-experienced Widening Participation professional to lead our Higher Education Progression Partnership (HEPP). Founded in 2011, HEPP is a collaborative partnership between the two universities working together to promote Higher Education opportunities across the Sheffield City Region.

Working closely with the two universities, you will provide strategic leadership for HEPP, through the development and delivery of a new strategy, to meet both the needs of the partnership and the wider Sheffield City region.

You will have substantial experience of delivering high quality Outreach and Widening Participation activity, ensuring work is appropriately targeted and evaluated. You will be comfortable maintaining and developing new relationships with key influencers and have experience of leading collaborative work, and managing diverse staff teams.

If you are offered this post you will be subject to an Enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.  A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University but its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed.

For non-EU applicants, we are unlikely to be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this job (unless you are switching from a UK student visa), so you should only apply if you already have unrestricted permission to work in the UK.

Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from all candidates irrespective of age, pregnancy and maternity, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief, or marital or civil partnership status. We welcome applications for job-share, part-time and flexible working arrangements.

Please quote job number: 035022.

Closing date: 25 October 2017 at 23.30pm.
