The School of Service Industries delivers nationally accredited training as well as accredited short courses and non-accredited training across the Northern Territory (NT). 

Within the School, the Sales and Personal Services Team provides nationally accredited training from Certificate I to Diploma level qualifications in Retail, and Certificate II to Diploma level qualifications in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy across the Northern Territory.

As VET Lecturer/Workplace Assessor in Beauty Therapy you are responsible for delivering training in the Beauty Training Package whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and ensuring training and assessment is delivered as per the VET Quality Framework, the Community Services Training Package requirements, and to industry standards. You are also responsible for providing high quality customer service including responding to enquiries, from internal and external stakeholders, particularly in relation to best practice delivery and assessment of the Community Services Training Package and associated programs.

To be successful you require a diploma-level qualification in Beauty Therapy with extensive post trade workplace experience, current qualifications equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor), and the ability to obtain competencies in additional core units as required. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language are essential.
