The appointee will be responsible for the design and analysis of gradient coils used in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The successful applicant will collaborate with Professor Stuart Crozier and Professor Feng Liu, participating in, and initiating research projects. In addition to executing the proposed research plans, they will contribute to reporting project findings contributing to the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
You should have a PhD in the area of electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or related fields. Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in the area of MRI gradient coil research, as well as numerical simulation of MRI gradient electromagnetic field problems is essential. Programming ability in Matlab and C and Experience in student supervision is desirable.

This is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 12 months at Academic Research Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,534 - $87,535 per annum plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $102,416 per annum).
