The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for providing effective analytical support to the Finance Manager to facilitate delivery of high level financial support services across all facets of the School's activities including budgeting and forecasting, ad hoc reporting, day to day financial and general administration, reconciliation of accounts, database development and maintenance, all with a strong customer service focus. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring compliance in relation to financial policy and procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
You will have prior experience in financial administration and reporting requirements, within a large complex organisation. You will also have a high level of numeracy and analytical skills, combined with an applied knowledge of accounting concepts and practices. Furthermore, your sound interpersonal, communication, negotiation and customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external clients will be essential to your success in this role. A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in a financial management role in a large, complex organisation are essential.
