Department/Unit: The Stanley Ho Big Data Decision Analytics Research Centre

The Stanley Ho Big Data Decision Analytics (BDDA) Research Centre was established in May 2013. We encourage multidisciplinary research and collaboration across different academic departments. Our six areas of focus are Healthcare and Genomics, Earth System Sciences, Social Networks, Economics and Finances, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Digital Learning. The Centre is now seeking an outstanding candidate and inviting applications for Research Assistant Professorship. 

Applicants should have (i) a relevant PhD in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science or other relevant disciplines; (ii) a strong commitment to excellence in research; and (iii) outstanding accomplishments and research potential. 

Research emphasis will be on the following programmatic research areas: 

- Data-driven modeling of complex real-world systems 
- Data-intensive optimization of large-scale decision-making problems 
- Real-time disruption management 
- ICT-enabled logistics and supply chain applications 
- Healthcare analytics 
- Smart transportation technologies 

The appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
