About Swinburne

More than 100 years ago Swinburne opened its doors with a simple premise in mind: to provide education to a section of society otherwise denied further education.

More than a century later, Swinburne continues to persevere in its commitment to not only provide, but also transform education through strong industry engagement, social inclusion, a desire to innovate and, above all, a determination to create positive change. An opportunity presents to join Swinburne and be part of a world class university creating social and economic impact, through science, technology and innovation.

About the Opportunity

This position is within Swinburne Business School. The School is committed to delivering excellent education courses, quality research with impact and engagement activities with deep industry connections. The School’s mission is to advance innovation, entrepreneurship and social impact through its career-ready graduates and industry-engaged research.

As an Associate Professor you will conduct research, obtain research funding, conduct teaching (on campus and online), supervise masters by research and PhD students, and take on leadership duties in the School.

As a candidate for the Associate Professor position, you will have a PhD in the relevant discipline and have academic and research leadership experience. You will have a nationally and/or internationally recognised research record as evidenced in an extensive range of research publications in high-quality journals, a proven ability to foster collaborative research outcomes among colleagues, and active industry engagement. You will also have a high level of interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.

The position is expected to participate in activities for the development of closer and stronger links with the profession, industry and professional bodies in Australia and internationally.
