Casual Academics – Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
UTS has a bold vision to be a world-leading university of technology. We are a dynamic and innovative university in central Sydney, consistently ranked the top young university in Australia. With a culturally diverse campus life and extensive international exchange and research programs, UTS prepares graduates for the workplaces of today and tomorrow.
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) is dedicated to enhancing the learning experiences of our students through a commitment to Learning. Futures and the UTS Model of Learning.
FASS is calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for inclusion on an eligibility list for casual academic teaching positions in its School of Communication, School of Education and School of International Studies. The eligibility list will remain current for the 2018 and 2019 teaching sessions.
The Faculty recognises and values the diversity of teaching and learning practices that the employment of casual academics offers students. Applications are sought from industry professionals as well as the next generation of academics seeking experience in an academic teaching role.
Casual academics may be engaged in activities such as lecturing, tutoring, integrated learning and practical activities, marking, student consultations and other administrative tasks.
