Working Location: Ningbo

Job Outline:

The successful candidate needs to coordinate different university departments to make sure the smooth set-up of the team facilities. The candidate also need to manage team IP portfolio, international exchange, as well as supporting line manager on daily management of the team.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering, Materials  Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline;
  • Have good communication capability to coordinate different parties to get project run in high standard;
  • Ability to manage the composite, chemical or mechanical related Lab;
  • Have good writing skill for proposal preparing and paper work;
  • Project management experience;
  • Good skill and fundamental knowledge support research works and problem-solving;
  • More than three years work experience;
  • Have good team working skills and ability to exchange with others;
  • Good organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently when required;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure;
  • Attention to details;
  • Can-do attitude;

Desirable

  • Master degree in relevant disciplines;
  • In depth knowledge and experience in project management;
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace & marine sectors;
  • Composite industry exploit experience is preferred;
  • Working experience in other relevant areas;
  • Experience of working as coordinator for multi-culture organizations;
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with team members, technicians, procurement office, estate office, safety officers, etc. to make sure the smooth set-up and management of IAMET composite lab;
  • Coordinate with university and external IP agency, manage team IP portfolio;
  • Coordinate international exchanges, etc. with UK campus and other international partners;
  • Support team leader on daily management of team, including PhD students & interns, team meetings, team building and other activities related to team development;
  • Support attracting international/ domestic research funding by collecting bid information, forming structural timeline for the fund application, help preparing paperwork, etc. support to attract at least 100K Rmb fund per year;
  • Support to maintain & develop new partnerships with industry, universities and research institutes;
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may be required by line manager;
  • In case of necessity, to support research of polymer composites and contribute to the achievement of specific research objectives by performing experiment under supervision of researchers or academic stuffs;
  • Participate in training and staff development schemes as trainee as appropriate;
  • Maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness.
