Administrator - Research and Funding Team 

Location:     University Park
Salary:     £17,399 to £20,624 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Research and Funding Team is one of 3 teams within the School Management and Research Office (SMRO) in the School of Humanities and are recruiting an administrator.

The role will be part of a team having primary responsibility for the management of all internal and external sources of funding including research and non-research awards, postgraduate studentship travel awards, school conference and strategic funds, along with all associated support and financial monitoring and reporting for those areas.

Applications are invited for the above post which will have responsibility for:

  • Providing efficient and effective administration for the Research and Funding Team and working collaboratively with the other SMRO teams
  • Administration of the School study leave processes
  • Research Excellence Framework (REF) support
  • Committee support
  • Dealing with customer enquiries
  • Supporting Senior Management within the School.

Applicants must:

  • Be educated to GCSE level and have a good general standard of education including Grade C or above in English and Maths, or hold vocational qualifications (NVQ 2-3) or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Have significant recent experience of working in an office/administrative environment
  • Experience of project administration
  • Experience of using finance systems and working with budgets
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to build working relationships within the School, University and with external suppliers.

This is a full-time, permanent post.
