Clinical Educator Audiology
The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences has a longstanding reputation for providing allied health services in its work-integrated learning environment, the UQ Health and Rehabilitation Clinics (Clinics). The Clinics offer adult and paediatric Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology services.

This role is instrumental in the development of the next generation of Audiology practitioners and will offer you the opportunity to provide leadership and direction in clinical education.
This position is responsible for facilitating the translation of Audiology theory to practice with groups and individual students in clinical environments. The position will facilitate student led clinics, balancing client needs with student learning, whilst modelling professionalism and clinical competency. The position will collaborate with the clinical, academic and administrative teams to grow and develop our Audiology Clinic.
Applicants must possess a degree in Audiology with subsequent relevant experience and demonstrate recent clinical practice and clinical education experience. Applicants are required to hold or be eligible for membership of Audiology Australia, hold a current Certificate of Clinical Practice and possess/be eligible for a Blue card and Medicare provider number. Experience in Central Auditory Processing assessment and management is desirable.
Applicants should have experience to demonstrate readiness as a practitioner and educator within our large multi-disciplinary facility. The ideal applicant will have the capacity to facilitate the provision of services in a broad range of clinical environments. A working knowledge of clinical education issues and an enthusiasm for teaching are essential. The ideal applicant will have exceptionally developed clinical skills, outstanding interpersonal and organisational abilities, and possess a proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

This is a part-time (up to 0.8 FTE), 2 year fixed term appointment(s) at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,883.65 to $89,559.15 (FTE) p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,745.37 to $104,784.21 (FTE) p.a.).
