The University of Queensland Biological Resources (UQBR) manages the Biological Resources Facility (BRF) on behalf of TRI. The facility was commissioned in 2013, operates as a TRI core facility and is critical to successful research outcomes.
We are currently advertising for a Senior Animal Technical / Breeding Coordinator (HEW6).
The primary purpose of this appointment will be to coordinate the daily operations, provide a high quality husbandry care and breeding services within the University of Queensland Biological Resources Animal Facilities/TRI. This position involves a high level of responsibility in a significant administrative and supervisory role, as it is expected to give major support to the Manager of the facility to cover a variety of duties.
Applicants should possess qualifications and experience in relevant disciplines, breeding GM animals and/ or research techniques involving laboratory animals. Excellent research, analytical and report writing skills along with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team are essential.
This is a full-time, 3 years fixed term appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207.07 - $79,964.50 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $86,822.27 - $93,558.47 p.a.).
