Teaching Fellow/Senior Teaching Fellow in Educational Development
£35,850 - £44,220 p.a. or
£45,400 - £54,880 p.a. depending on qualification and experience

The Educational Development Unit (EDU) at Imperial College is seeking to appoint two new Teaching Fellows in Educational Development (or Senior Teaching Fellows dependent on qualifications and experience) who will be based at the South Kensington campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small team of experienced staff who work collaboratively across College to support and enhance learning, teaching and educational development in an institution with an excellent international reputation that consistently achieves high national and international rankings. The Unit is currently engaged in supporting the College’s new learning and teaching strategy, a dynamic area of work that aims at institution-wide curriculum development and culture change that offers opportunities for the new appointees.

The post holders will contribute to the delivery of the EDU’s College provision, taking responsibility for a selection of standalone workshops and participating in the development and delivery of the Unit’s academic programmes as appropriate. The post holders will also contribute to other general educational development work in the EDU and although the EDU is not an education research unit, its members are expected to engage in scholarly activity.

Candidates will be expected to have recent experience as a developer and/or trainer in a university or similar environment and to be knowledgeable about higher education. Experience of working with technology enhanced learning and online and blended content would also be useful. They will ideally have an appropriate educational qualification and will be both confident and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of Imperial staff including academics, senior managerial staff and other College staff involved in supported learning and teaching.

To be appointed at the higher salary scale candidates would be expected to have greater experience and a Master’s level qualification in education so that they can contribute more immediately to planning and development and teaching across the whole spectrum of provision including Master’s level.
