The Weekend Producer / ATC writer will produce Weekend Edition on Saturday and Sunday mornings and be the main writer for All Things Considered three afternoon / evenings on week days each week. Weekend morning producing duties include researching news stories, writing news stories, assigning stories to WBUR reporters, conducting interviews, editing audio tape, selecting stories to cover, curating news stories furnished by NPR and deciding which stories to include on WBUR and which stories to be replaced by local content. ATC writing duties include research, writing, conducting interviews, editing audio, processing news and helping to coordinate WBUR's afternoon and evening. This producer would also fill in as Morning Edition Producer and All Things Considered Producer.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred with three to five years of related work experience.
