Programme Coordinator, Europa Point Language Centre

About the Role:

The post-holder will have responsibility for coordinating the provision offered by the University’s Europa Point Language Centre. This will include Modern Foreign Languages, English and Spanish for academic and specific purposes, and, in due course, pre-sessional courses in English and academic preparation for international students seeking to enrol in University of Gibraltar degree programmes. The post will also include responsibility for overseeing scheduling, appointment of tutors, commissioning of visiting speakers, student handbooks, promotion and advertising, inductions, communication, assessment and student experience. The post-holder will support the Director of the Europa Point Language Centre and will work closely with the Director of Professional Development and Short Courses and the Business School.

About You;

The post-holder will play a leading role in the establishment of the University of Gibraltar’s EPLC portfolio assisting with the development and adaptation of materials, and, as appropriate, teaching in the programmes. Significant experience in managing academic language courses is necessary, as well as higher education qualifications, and experience teaching English language at higher education level, He/ she will be working closely with the Dean of Academic Quality and Professional Learning, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Director of ICT as this new programme develops.

We are looking for someone with a good first degree (or degree equivalent) in a relevant area and a Professional Higher Education (HE) recognised education qualification e.g. PGCHE, FHEA or PGCPP.
