The Tropical Epidemiology Group at LSHTM is seeking an enthusiastic Research Programme Assistant with knowledge and experience of project administration, to support TEG’s research team. The post holder will take responsibility for organising meetings and events, and manage travel arrangements for the research team, including booking flights and accommodation, and arranging visas. They will also support administrative processes, such as invoicing and expense claims and assist with communication activities, including maintaining the Group’s website. The post holder will work closely with the Research Programme Manager and the Research Programme Coordinator, as well as with individual Group members (currently 35) based in London and overseas.
We are looking for candidates with proven experience of project administration in an international organisation, including arranging international travel. Excellent written and oral skills and the ability to present information in a clear and logical format are essential, as is some experience of communications, including website maintenance. An interest in international health and developing countries is highly desirable.
The post is available full-time commencing as soon as possible. The post will be available as a fixed-term contract and is funded until 31 October 2018 in the first instance. The salary will be on the LSHTM Professional Support Pathway Grade 3 scale, in the range £24,761 to £28,053 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
