Faculty of Science and Engineering

The School of Science, with approximately 1100 students and within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, offers degrees spanning the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Earth Sciences.

We are searching for candidates who have completed a PhD in Ecology, or a related field, have an established high quality research record with the potential to build and lead research programmes and gain external funding and can engage actively in a number of research groups in the Faculty, including the Environmental Research Institute, as part of their research work.

You will show a commitment to excellence in teaching and will be expected to contribute to the design and delivery of the undergraduate teaching programme in the areas of Ecology, Community Ecology, Restoration Ecology, Terrestrial Ecology and Plant and Animal Ecology.

Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$72,654 to $87,500 per year and for Senior Lecturers NZ$90,000 to $118,500 per year.
