The Residence Life unit, within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) portfolio, is dedicated to providing students with high-quality support in all aspects of student life. Residence Life offers comprehensive physical and virtual support environments and mechanisms to provide proactive, tailored support programs to all students. The unit assists students through the provision of accommodation, a comprehensive residential life support network (including pastoral care and welfare services), community/capacity building, food and beverage services, entertainment and events support services, retail and merchandising services, graduation, social and recreational programs, and study support.
This role focuses on the coordination of cross-campus administrative activities and procedures, and provision of day-to-day operational support to the Residence Life team. The Administrative Assistant, Residential Life will provide a range of administrative functions in support of operational requirements, complete analysis, and produce reports on operations as requested.
In the provision of services, the incumbent will assist the Division’s ongoing pastoral care and welfare support scheme and will be an integral link in liaison between residential students and the Residence Life unit. The position requires the provision of a professional service and the capacity to contribute in a collegial environment to the Division’s effective operation, ensuring its crosscampus functionality, as well as the ability to be proactive in establishing new systems and processes.
