The School of Science, with approximately 1100 students and within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, offers degrees spanning the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Earth Sciences.

We are seeking a full time fixed term Post-doctoral Research Fellow to undertake research, conduct method development utilising analytical instruments, including ICPMS techniques and supervise the day to day operation of several pieces of analytical equipment.

A PhD in analytical chemistry or a related field is essential as is significant experience with analytical instrumentation, including ICPMS. The ability to carry out analytical method development, testing and assessment of data quality is required. It would be highly desirable to have experience with laser ablation ICPMS and/or LC-ICPMS techniques and also experience with ICPMS reaction cell methods and approaches. Other essential requirements of this position are the demonstrated ability to undertake relevant research, publish in high quality academic journals, work collaboratively with others and be able to undertake some teaching if required

Salary will be in the range of NZ$72,654 to $87,500 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
