The School Operations Administrator role is a position within the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham.  We are seeking an enthusiastic team-worker to join the School Operations Team, which is responsible for providing administrative management and support across a broad range of areas within the School of Mathematical Sciences.

As a School Operations Administrator, you will:
(i) provide a friendly and effective reception service in the Mathematical Sciences Building helping staff, visitors, and couriers as required and responding to both routine and more complex enquiries,
(ii) act as the main point of contact for postgraduate research students who are purchasing research-related items and travel,
(iii) support School initiatives to enhance the student experience by organising and supporting School events.

We are looking for a professional, customer-focused individual with excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills. Experience of successfully working within a team, as well as the ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines is also essential.

Candidates must have a good standard of education evidenced by GCSE level study (or equivalent, and/or experience in a relevant role), significant recent experience of working in an office/administrative environment and experience of planning their own work activities in response to differing priorities.

This is a permanent full-time post for 36.25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.
