School Administrator 

Location:     Sutton Bonington
Salary:     £17,399 to £20,624 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post based at the School of Biosciences on the Sutton Bonington Campus, near Loughborough.
The role will be working as part of a team of other administrators within the School but mostly working with and supporting the existing PA/Administrator for the Division/Building.  The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for staff, student and visitor enquiries in the South Laboratory Building.  This will either be in person, over the telephone or by email or post.

The role holder will also provide essential administrative support to the academic, technical and research staff within the building/division which will include meeting preparation and minute taking, booking of travel, conference organisation and arrangements, ordering stationery and catering requirements as well as supporting the local printers for paper or problems in collaboration with the central print liaison group. 

Subject to the School's operational requirements the role holder may also be required to support the Senior Administration Manager and other administrative staff to ensure full administrative cover is provided across the School during busy periods and times of absence.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths plus some experience in a relevant role.
Considerable work experience in a relevant role/life experience reinforced by work experience.

The role requires the candidate to hold an RSA Level II and an NVQ 3 in Administration (or equivalent).

The role also requires extension I.T knowledge (Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel), excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work accurately and to meet deadlines.

This is a part time, 25h per week post and will be offered on a permanent contract.
