NTU's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. Currently, it has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. Its faculty has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in space creation, water research and sustainable built environment. Going forward, CEE is addressing critical challenges in urban systems such as building and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, and resiliency to natural and unnatural risks.
To fuel further development, we invite applications for tenure-track Associate Professor Faculty position in the area of Urban Environmental Resource Management.
Candidates should have an earned PhD degree in Urban Environmental Resource Management with an outstanding academic record and a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching. Leadership in conducting inter-disciplinary research and collaboration with industry is also essential.
The specific area of interests include Integrated Waste Management on use-inspired 3R (Residues, Resource and Reclamation) research and translation for Singapore, Asia and Pacific region. Some potential research directions might include waste to energy, waste to materials, site remediation, land reclamation, and integrated waste management.
The candidate should be able to provide academic leadership through demonstrating and fostering excellence in R&D, teaching and professional activity within the School and academic discipline. The ideal candidate should be an internationally recognized expert in the field of Urban Environmental Resource Management, while should also help the School to develop interdisciplinary research programs as well as contribute to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
