The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources. The Education Portfolio plays a key role in empowering students to access education, participate actively in the life of the University and achieve successful and fulfilling lives beyond graduation. The provision of a stimulating and satisfying experience for students is a priority for the University.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
RMIT is looking for an enthusiastic, creative person to plan and deliver a vibrant Performing Arts program including theatre, workshops and pop up events. The program offers opportunities for students to socialise, learn new skills, and realise their potential through performance. We want someone who will significantly build participation in our theatre programs and support RMIT's Performing Arts collectives.
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate is experienced in planning and running theatre events on time and within budget, whilst keeping cool under pressure. You are passionate about theatre and have the ability to engage, motivate, and empower RMIT's diverse student population. You are prepared to work as part of a team in growing and developing Creative programs that provide opportunities for students to participate, belong and build skills for life and work.
