This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an individual with exceptional leadership drive and vision to become Arden University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Academic with a remit for delivering innovation, development and execution of the academic strategy across the University.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Philip Hallam, and a member of an exceptional and dynamic Executive Team, the Pro Vice-Chancellor will be responsible for developing, communicating and delivering the University’s strategy for Teaching, Learning and the wider student experience.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) will enjoy considerable autonomy as Chair of the Academic Board with responsibility for ensuring academic standards and oversight of the academic team, student support, registry and quality. Working closely with the academic, administrative and student bodies, as well as relevant external partners and networks, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) will lead all aspects of the University’s academic strategy and policy.
The successful candidate will have strong academic credentials with a genuine passion for quality, student experience, and innovation in higher education. They will bring experience of senior leadership and delivery across a complex academic organisation, and will demonstrate the ability to inspire enthusiasm for, and ensure the implementation of, an ambitious educational agenda. The University has demonstrated an exemplary record of quality assurance over many years evidenced recently through ‘commendable’ outcomes from QAA. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to play a key role in taking forward a unique and ambitious University.
