Bristol Vet School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer or Reader in Veterinary Parasitology. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that spans Bristol Vet School and the School of Biology as a centre of teaching and research excellence. You will teach aspects of parasitology, including contributing to undergraduate veterinary teaching, being involved in the refinement of our veterinary curriculum, and taking a leading role in developing new undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. You will also be expected to drive forward our research strength and cross disciplinary collaborations in parasitology.

This position is suitable for a veterinary surgeon who has completed a PhD or equivalent research training. You must have a growing reputation in research and will be required to obtain funds from research funding bodies to support an on-going programme of research. You will directly contribute to teaching in the areas of parasitology and its relationship with areas such as food safety and zoonotic disease. This post is ideal for a highly motivated individual who is looking to develop a strong academic career. Appointment at senior lecturer/reader level will require an existing substantial track record in research.
