Staffordshire University Libraries have a wide collection of paper and electronic resources but we aren’t just about books, our staff are here to assist and advise, ensuring that we meet the needs of all students and staff.Our primary objective is to meet the learning, teaching and research needs of University community. We are also fully committed to widening access to our services to local schools, colleges and the local and regional community.

We are looking for a Library and Customer Services Supervisor who is outgoing and confident with the ability to be innovative and proactive in delivering front line Library services in a constantly changing HE environment. With a proven ability to deliver high standards of customer care and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills you will be responsive to customer needs.

Having operational responsibility for the library during the evenings and weekends you will be able to work independently, have the ability to solve problems and confidence to make decisions. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to plan your own workload and provide direction and guidance to Library Assistants.

You will be able to demonstrate current IT and digital skills and be able to use a wide range of electronic systems and software including our library management, enquiry management systems and use social media in a professional environment.
