Applications are invited for the above post in the Careers and Employability Service. The post will be based at University Park Campus and is available on a fixed term basis initially until the end of September 2018.

The University of Nottingham is seeking a high quality individual who is hard-working and driven to embrace the challenges of the changing employability agenda in higher education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Business Information Team and enabling the provision of high quality business information to support all areas of activity within the Careers and Employability Service. This role will oversee the collection and analysis of graduate destinations outcomes, and work with stakeholders across the Service and wider University Community to ensure that the information is disseminated in a way which informs delivery.

The role holder will develop key performance indicators for the service in conjunction with the Associate Director, enabling management to maintain a detailed understanding of student engagement with the Service, an evaluation of their experiences, and how these interactions ultimately link with destinations outcomes.

Candidates must have a relevant degree or substantial and directly relevant experience of advanced data analysis and/or statistical analysis of destination data and/or university statistical returns to external bodies. An ability to communicate complex information to large or small groups is essential, as is the ability to liaise with stakeholders (internal and external) of all levels, and lead a team to a high level of performance. Excellent attention to detail, knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, and experience in the use of statistical software packages are also essential.

This full-time post is fixed-term for a period of 12 months. The usual working pattern is Monday – Friday, 08:45 – 17:00. There will be two periods in the year (of between 2 and 6 weeks on each occasion) where a flexibility to work some evenings and an occasional Saturday is required, in order to support the destination data collection process.

If you are excited by the opportunity and challenge that this role presents, then we look forward to hearing from you.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Stuart Marriott, Associate Director of the Careers and Employability Service (telephone 0115 9516810 or email stuart.marriott@nottingham.ac.uk). Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

The University of Nottingham is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
